Christy’s project is a stunning showcase of design and functionality, featuring a very large composite deck built with Eva-last materials in a striking two-tone color scheme. With a dark gray border and a light gray interior, this expansive deck spans an impressive 42 feet across, with portions extending 16 feet out from the house, creating a grand outdoor space that is both inviting and functional. A remarkable pyramid-style staircase and landing gracefully connect the elevated door of the house to the lower deck surface, providing a seamless transition while enhancing privacy for the outdoor area. The lower deck surface not only serves as a tranquil retreat but also allows for easy access to the existing landscaping, making it convenient for the clients to enjoy their hot tub. This spacious deck is designed for versatility, featuring ample room for outdoor dining, a comfortable living area, and a dedicated space for barbecuing, making it the perfect setting for entertaining family and friends. Thoughtful lighting in the rises of the stair sets adds both safety and ambiance, illuminating the space beautifully in the evenings. Constructing this deck required meticulous attention to grading, as bringing the deck low to the ground posed its challenges. Our team skillfully utilized a skid steer to excavate large portions of dirt and rock, ensuring a solid foundation for the deck. While the process was complex, it was also incredibly rewarding, and the end result speaks for itself. Christy’s project exemplifies the dedication and creativity of our team at YYC Builders. The transformation of this outdoor space not only enhances the functionality of the yard but also creates a stunning retreat for Christy and her family to enjoy for years to come. We take pride in every aspect of our work, and this project is a true testament to our commitment to excellence in outdoor living design.
