Kelly’s project was a delightful collaboration that brought together innovative design and expert craftsmanship, resulting in a unique outdoor space that perfectly met the client’s vision. This fun build features a stunning two-tiered composite deck, expertly crafted using a combination of Trex and Timbertech composites, showcasing the versatility and durability of these materials. The design process began with an initial meeting between our landscaper (Luke’s design and Build) and Kelly, where they explored ideas and concepts that would elevate the outdoor experience. From there, the deck design was shared with us, and we promptly quoted the client, moving forward with the construction phase that emphasized quality and attention to detail. One of the standout features of this deck is the smart board skirt, which Kelly specifically requested to be painted white, providing a clean and modern aesthetic that beautifully complements the overall design. Additional elements include a custom steel grate that elegantly covers the window well, ensuring functionality without compromising style. To enhance privacy, we constructed a striking 6-foot tall cedar privacy wall supported by sleek black steel posts, creating a serene oasis for relaxation. The deck is further enhanced by the inclusion of black 5/8 aluminum railings that add a contemporary touch while ensuring safety. As a finishing touch, a custom-built cedar planter box adds a natural element, allowing for beautiful greenery to flourish in this inviting space. Kelly’s project is a testament to the collaborative spirit we value at YYC Builders. Working closely with our clients and partners allows us to create outdoor environments that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also tailored to their lifestyle needs.
