Completed in the fall of 2024, Toby’s project exemplifies the seamless blend of design and functionality, resulting in a stunning outdoor retreat. This large composite deck, crafted with Timbertech coconut husk, was thoughtfully designed to enhance the client’s privacy while creating an inviting space for relaxation and entertainment. Understanding Toby’s desire for a lower deck to maintain a sense of seclusion in the yard, we ingeniously incorporated a stair set that descends from the sliding doors, leading down to a beautifully finished deck surface. This design not only maximizes privacy but also enhances the overall aesthetic of the outdoor space. Having previously worked with Toby to create a pressure-treated wood fence, we were honored to be invited back to tackle this exciting new project. The positive experience from the fence installation laid the groundwork for a collaborative relationship that extended into this latest endeavor. The deck features sleek black 5/8 aluminum railings that provide both safety and a contemporary touch, while a custom-made steel window well, also painted black, adds an elegant focal point to the design. The composite skirting, seamlessly finished in coconut husk, ties the entire look together, creating a cohesive and polished appearance.
